It is a fact that St Michael le Belfrey church in York where David spent most of his ministry has no memorial to him, no plaque or piece of furniture bearing his name. This is because David’s memorial is the fact that a thriving church continues there and the Gospel is still preached. Similarly, this series of books is no “collected works” of David Watson.
